After working in the business world for many years, owner Tim Carroll, decided to venture into the farming scene and follow his passion. He searched for a few years for the right opportunity, and in 2014 he purchased the 92-acre property in central Massachusetts where Farmer Tim's Vegetables resides. The farm officially began operations in March 2015,  but other than a derelict farmhouse and ramshackle pole barn---there was no other equipment or infrastructure on the land. The first year was riddled with setbacks such as spring snowfall, tractor implements not arriving in time for spring planting and weeds overtaking the crops. Despite the rough start, a strong and growing customer base was forged that first season.

Farmer Tim's currently has about 8 acres in mixed vegetable production. Each year we have continued to increase our CSA membership and farm stand sales. In 2019 we began delivery of CSA boxes in Webster MA. We also deliver boxed CSA Shares in Belmont, MA, Watertown MA, Newton MA, and have on farm market- style CSA pick ups at the farm in Dudley, MA.  We are continually building our farm infrastructure to serve our changing needs as we grow our sales and reach new market outlets. We also will continue Spring seedling sales in May and attend multiple Farmer's Markets.

Future

Eventually, Tim and his team plan on more to put more of the farm's 92 acres in production. We will continue to increase the vegetable production as our customer outlets increase. Other enterprises like pasture raised animals and fruit production are also possibilities in the farms future as well as value added products using our produce and community events and educational opportunities. Farmer Tim's will strive to grow and provide for the needs of our staff and the surrounding community.
